Job and life…

Hi,

Yesterday, lots of people are having discussion about this adverts below…

Cyber First/UK Government advert

Cyber First/UK Government advert

I thought that campaign is Fatima should re-think about her career as a ballet dancer and consider next job in cyber industry !

But according to the campaign article, that is all about young people ( all the people ) should be clever toward to

Cyber in general….that is very different message from the image….

I can say it is difficult to get on life as what you want to be and what you are good at

and same time.

Getting income to support yourself ( lots of people consider as family ) is very positive and  healthy for principle of life.

Myself, working as full time milliner isn’t enough to see my mum who is living herself, and also my family and friends in Japan.

So I decided to work whatever I can, so I have done so many things in the past, but now 2 main jobs I like and giving the opportunity to meet

other people and interacting with different world.

So I hope people not get offended from those adverts, just way of surviving in tough life which is transition for lots of different industry..

I guess changing the view isn’t bad things, if you are not satisfying the current situation…..

No matter what, end of the day, if you have different skills to survive isn’t bad….for your long life!!

If you think you have some kind of talent, you can continue doing while you are getting on your life.

You don’t need to stop, that government can’t stop you !!

And of course, consider your health to keep you going, too!!

Stay safe 🙂

Makeup…

Hi,

I love makeup 🙂 Although I don’t wear much myself…
I used to put my brother’s makeup when we were sharing flat in Tokyo,

when he was in the band performing. 🙂

I love looking at models transformation when we have photoshoot.

MUA and Hair stylists are fantastic!!

Love the shoot, especially when models wear my outifts and hats 🙂 x

I read the Kabuki actor’s article recently. ( Sorry it is in Japanese )

https://www.tjapan.jp/art/17321236?fbclid=IwAR2oArQi4N5uDMs4pEVPPJe7oMBe9K8Ex3Wh3ctPVu9RzxG7HnGJcPcuSMg

He said since he was little he was putting makeup himself.

In front of the mirror, playing like white powder and red, using finger tip to trace his skin of his face,

The power of the make up is making himself can be strong man, and beautiful woman, depending on the makeup!!

Kimono….again

I honestly can’t wait to see this exhibition at V&A in February 2020.

https://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2019/oct/09/va-hosts-europes-first-major-exhibition-on-kimono?CMP=share_btn_fb&fbclid=IwAR1dz1-b51pK7GvH8f6e_Qu0tOIZhpwe6JWUSPrYFCzO14DnLz2YodLC2sg

Exhibits will include a dress designed by Alexander McQueen for Björk

Exhibits will include a dress designed by Alexander McQueen for Björk 🙂

Bjork album image Kimono by Alexander McQueen was sensecional that image was so strong and got inspired so much, decided to make my own version one day.

I got married in 1997.
I was working at Philip Treacy at that time.
We had a rented flat in Angel before we had wedding.

I was puttig the curtain not showing to Kevin while I was working on my wedding outfit.
I didn’t know but it is very bad luck  in the UK making own wedding dress or ( that explains a lot ; ) ) show your wedding outfit to your husband to be before the wedding day.

White 100% Silk Embroidered Taffeta and Gold embroidered silk satin ( Chinese ).

I had a beautiful Obi in Shu red (Vermillion Red ) that colour is perfect for Japanese image.

So when we decided to book the register office, I already made my dress idea that will be fusion Kimono deluxe ( my ultimate bespoke dress )!!

Picture is great! They never get old 🙂 It will be almost 22nd Anniversary soon 🙂

Excuse me from the bathroom of Russel Hotel 🙂 but this is the only shot I could get from top to toe my proud DIY job with Fantastic gift from Master Philip Treacy’s headpiece…..My 1950’s sandal, Satin bag and lace gloves 50’s at Angel’s Antique market. Japanese pearl necklace and handfan with Luck charm ( Omamori ). my nail was light blue- Something Blue 🙂

Kevin with wee Jamie in Kilt, he was 7 years very cute boy but he will be dad of son very soon! I am wearing beautiful Kimono lent from Maestro Philip Treacy…that is £30.000 worth Wedding Kimono from Japan. Thank you billion times for fantastic gift, my dad said I could be a bamboo doll with out them 🙂

Before returning this to Philip, I wanted to do this “Mikaeri Bijin?!” pose 🙂

Kimono and hat

Hi,

I had an opportunity to experiment a demonstration of my passion hat and kimono!

I love Traditional Kimono, but living in Scotland, there is not so much occasion to wear them.

And also there are lots of rules for dressing Kimono.

And I see the product so called Kimono in the shops all over, I disagree with those are called Kimono….

I was wondering there are so many traditional Kimono what you can purchase in Japan, which have much more detailed design and beautiful colours.

I love the traditional way of dressing Kimono, but one you are not specialized dressing the Kimono, it is hard to wear traditional way…

So, I use my Japanese Kimono ( They are produced in Japan as Traditional Kimono ) dressing with accessories you can find in your wardrobe.

Mrs. Yamazaki is founder’s wife of this event all over from Japan. She said she got lots of complements at the Sainsbury’s as she was wearing Kimono before the demonstration!!

How wonderful is that! 🙂

Reiko is wearing beautiful ivory casual komon houmon-gi and deep crown straw cloche with lace trimming with lace skirf and lace gloves. Instead of Obi sash belt, using knitted scarf and cotton flower printed scarf as obiage belt which are tied around hipborne for 20’s style. Pixie is wearing beautiful chrysanthemum motif houmon-gi kimono. Gorgeious Fukuroobi is tied in front. Wearing my handblocked sinamay 50’s style shallow crown hat.

Everybody!! who helped me for the demonstration!! at beautiful Trinity Hall in Aberdeen. Everyone enjoyed different themself! Ane me( on the left ) and Chika ( on the right )were wearing Haori ( kimono over coat )! Thank you guys!

Reiko is wearing elegant Ivory komon houmon-gi Pixie is wearing gorgeous gold chrysanthemum motif houmon-gi Bijoux is wearing Yukata ( Summer kimono for casual occasion ) what her mum Chika was dressing with my handblocked sinamay roses headpiece. Ruth is weraing beautiful lilac houmon-gi underneath, peticote, and cummerband and thin belt with chiffon scarf with my handblocked silver cocktail hat is matching with cummerband.

Jeniffer is wearing bow tie blouse and wool kommon ( small patterned motif as design ) kimono which is drapped on the back as bustle style and wide pants with thin belt in front. and my hand blocked felt hat with big phesant trimming. Pixie is waking with my handblocked ivory 50’s style hat.

Mrs. Yamazaki is wearing Camellia motif wool kimono. with thin belt with knitted shawl. My handblocked wool felt topper is really suiting her.

Mrs. Yamazaki said she was wearing this at Sainsbury and people are complementing how she was wearing and relaxed looking.

Beautiful light blue kimono and lime houmon-gi with handblocked sinamay big brim Hatinator. Ruth is wearing lilac houmon-gi.

Exhibition

Hi,
Time to time, nice to visit London and catching up with friend!

It was minor complaints, there was unexpecting payment for my hand luggage with Flybe…
I had to pay extra £35, because they have smaller capacity in the craft compartments.
So, I just sent my suits case back with carrier on the way back home, that way is far more reasonable.

Exhibition that unmissable was Dior in V&A.

It was fantastic to see all his work from the Princess Margaret, to representing following designer like,Yves Saint Laurant, Gian Franco Ferre, John Galliano…
I am so grateful to have fantastic fashion friend who is always kind to me to be around since my son was baby.
If I could visit Stanley Kubric exhibition @Design Museum, it was a great bonus but when we visited the tickets are all sold out…
It was good excuse to see “Clockwork Orance” once again!

According to my phone, I was walking 10000steps everyday, visiting exhibition is certainly healthy things!!

Item important in the story…

Just I started reading ” L’Amant ” by Marguerite Duras again…
Book has been translated in Japanese.

In the story, I couldn’t ignore,,, she is talking about ” Hat ” is very

significant in her memory.

” I got a hat, there is no farewell with it. That can re-create myself….
I have a pair of shoes, I felt the same to those, but my hat is far more special….”

I just translated in my way from Japanese translation to English… but Sometime, I feel hat has exactly same way for my style.

I hope I can serve those special hat to the clients all the time.

The Lover                                                                  The Lover (French: L’Amant) is an autobiographical novel by Marguerite Duras, published in 1984 by Les Éditions de Minuit. It has been translated to 43 languages and was awarded the 1984 Prix Goncourt. (from Google search)

P.21 talking about her outfit especially about “Hat”

Show off your style!!

When I design clothes, I always finish off with the hat/headpiece 🙂

I have to try each photoshoot with a different look, but I have used the same outfits for different occasions.

You know one outfit can transform the completely different look with the hat!!

These are the example of how the hats and styling make different!!
With fantastic model Mhairi Waddell (15), she can show the same outfit with different HATs to show off!!

Mission…2

Dressing up…
Dress code, and formal dress…
There are many rules…

I don’t have any formal occasion to attend…but

My first experience of formal was an award ceremony of
Worshipful Company of the Feltmakers millinery competition at Mansion House.
I didn’t have any evening dress as a foreign student.
My mum was very happy to make and send it to me from Japan to London, and my boyfriend (husband) had to hire the kilt.

Recently I am a fashion designer who designing and making outfits and hats together collections.

I think safe to say my background is millinery.

It is a long time ago, but time to time better to mention this rather than sleeping in the file 🙂

Turning 50, my right shoulder is getting painful even though I do my regular exercise every day.
I visited my doctor and he reckons better to see the physiotherapist.
My doctor is very dandy and his background is Royal Navy.
He dresses very neatly ( Tweed 3 piece with tie or bow tie and matching pocket chief )  and I have to mention all the time.

He said dressing nice makes people happy. 🙂
I totally agree.

People dress nicely to make people happy is very good for the environment!
So relax people. if you feel nice, that shows!!
I am happy to help to make you happy, that is the doctor ordered! 🙂

Fashion brand? Collaboration is non stop!!

Fashion…..there is no more brand credibility?!

There are licensing and branding…

As a designer, all of them need to care…

Because the world changed for the lifestyle, Buying style, big fashion brand need to consider their way of marketing!!
