Item important in the story…

Just I started reading ” L’Amant ” by Marguerite Duras again…
Book has been translated in Japanese.

In the story, I couldn’t ignore,,, she is talking about ” Hat ” is very

significant in her memory.

” I got a hat, there is no farewell with it. That can re-create myself….
I have a pair of shoes, I felt the same to those, but my hat is far more special….”

I just translated in my way from Japanese translation to English… but Sometime, I feel hat has exactly same way for my style.

I hope I can serve those special hat to the clients all the time.

It has been translated to 43 languages and was awarded the 1984 Prix Goncourt. (from Google search)

P.21 talking about her outfit especially about “Hat”

Show off your style!!

When I design clothes, I always finish off with the hat/headpiece 🙂

I have to try each photoshoot with a different look, but I have used the same outfits for different occasions.

You know one outfit can transform the completely different look with the hat!!

These are the example of how the hats and styling make different!!
With fantastic model Mhairi Waddell (15), she can show the same outfit with different HATs to show off!!

New growth…

Since I started buying and sending to my dear dad,

I am so enjoying keeping and looking after my orchids.

Now my mum in Japan, also enjoying looking after them. 🙂

I replanted new shoots earlier, delighted to see Dendrobium Nobile new shoots are starting again!!

Lots of buds are getting bigger Phalaenopsis orchid in pink.

Phalaenopsis orchid in White also growing after cutting the first stem.

Beautiful deep pink Phalaenopsis orchid in front and lighter and bigger flower of Phalaenopsis orchid in bright pink also growing nice!! Dendrobium Nobile in pink 3 new shoots is replanted in a pot. 1 is not a healthy colour of leaves but other 2 are getting nicely settled I hope!!

Way of life in general….

Hi,

I am not here to talk about all the Scottish nor Japanese people…but as my experience of the feeling what is the happiness of your life …

I am happy to live in Scotland, but I love Japan so much, where all my family there.

As a Japanese, I love the Japanese way of life. but I found the thought process here is much relaxed yourself, that is so different from Japan and Scotland…

A little bit of laugh is needed for your life that my GP told me once!!

And he recommended me to go to see “Rakugo”( Japanese traditional Verble entertainment ) in Glasgow! And that all I needed.

Myself, the very first encounter with Kevin’s ( My husband )  family…I was taken everywhere around the whole family within 5 miles in apart…

They were talking so loud and slowly ( lol ) and Kevin said, ” She is not deaf!! She can hear you! ”
All the family members try to communicate poor Japanese girl ( lol ), but I was so touched how warmly welcomed treated.

What Scottish people do is accept yourself are different from others, and if something unhappy about it, just let it out and laugh about it and live it together with your life…

These days Japan, accumulating more doubtful society…I found people think the difference from others make you unnecessary anxiety and make yourself out of place…that cycle should stop somehow…

Glen Matlock ( Sex Pistols ), Slim Jim ( Stray Cats ) at BBC1 Pointless quiz show final 21/7/2019 🙂 A little bit laugh!

I wish people in Japan would much relaxed about yourself and others shouldn’t care so much what people say about you and others ( try to thicker skin yourself )!!
You don’t need to be perfect to fit in all the time!!
Celebrate difference from others, and laugh about it!
You are you, right to enjoy your life. 😉

Dressing

Iwakura Shisetsudan 1872 ( Kido, Yamaguchi, Iwakura, Ito, Ookubo ) at San Francisco. As Mr. Iwaskura is the court noble. so his outfit isn’t normally ” Samurai” style, but this picture to demonstrate as an ambassador, Old Japan and New Japan.

What to wear, how to wear…

Comfortable and suitable for the occasion. that makes you confident is the best dress.

As I am modern Japanese, I don’t have much occasion to wear Kimono as pre-Meiji Japanese.

To be honest, I have been worn kimono very small number of occasions.

When my 7th-year children’s festival in November was a proper dressing occasion, I was so excited to wear my Kimono.
Hairpiece and little chatelain….beautiful Obi sash belt and layers of kimono and lots of belts with sandal with tabi socks.
On top, dad bought me “Chitoseame” which is 1000 years candy in red and white that celebrates for the future.

All new experience of uncomfortable to walk, but I was so happy to be dressed!!
I didn’t want to take off everything after came home.

7th Children’s festival in November with my dad.

Lovely Orchid

Oh yes,,, I love orchid.

3 years ago, I bought 2 white orchids. Since then, I am so in love with them.

Yesterday, I bought 1 pink orchid additional to my member of the family 🙂

When I heard sad news from Japan last Summer, I thought I can send my love to my dad sending orchid.

My mum said they are growing new buds again!!
I am so happy to hear, mum is cheering to see new growth thinking of my dad and me.

Having new growth in life is a wonderful feeling!
Hope you will try yourself, too! 🙂

My 2nd flowering white orchid is doing really well!!

This is my new pink orchid!!

Dendrobium is growing really nice!! they had fantastic pink flowers so I am hoping they will flower this year, too. : )

Last day of ” Heisei – era “

As a Japanese living in Scotland, it is not much chance to use era based year …

But today is really the big day for Japan.

The Japanese current emperor Akihito started 1989 to 2019, today is the abdication day…

Last day of Akihito emperor period ” Heisei ” His son new emperor Naruhito is on his right hand.

Just as I am thinking back of his emperor time, I was the end of the teen, now I am 50.

Life is strange, I never knew I was going to live in Scotland…

Hoping the ” Reiwa ” bring a peaceful period for all over the world.

sword and jewels are presented on the side of the emperor and the empress

I was thrilled to work with the so many fantastic kids are coming from all over the UK are helping models of my collection.

And this time it was in Glasgow, so there was no excuse not to meet Ronnie and Anne once again.

I was glad I participated in the show once again, kids and people who are involved in were fantastic.

12 shiny happy faces in Glasgow. They helped Cancel Cancer Africa charity for modeling in confident in public. What a brave young people they are!!

New Era and new start

Japanese Era will be changing soon.
” Heisei ”  to ” Reiwa “.
” Reiwa ” will start on 1st of May 2019.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga holds up a placard showing the kanji for Reiwa, the name of the next Imperial era, during a news conference Monday at the Prime Minister's Office in Tokyo. | SATOKO KAWASAKI

Reiwa is this character

Because emperor Akihito will abdicate and Naruhito will be crowned.

I was bone in ” Showa ” era that lasted 63 years.
” Heisei ” is now the 31st year and this will be changed to ” Reiwa Gannen ( beginning of the year ) ”

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-42191096

I am feeling already lots of challenges ahead in my life.
My son was born in the same year as the new emperor ‘s daughter Princess Aiko.

They will have a new beginning of adulthood.
Wishing of all the great future for young people and all of us. 🙂

Name of colour

Hi,

Just thinking about the name of col0ur how poetic can be!
So many new names appear every year, and enjoy looking at the name of colour!

When I was a child my Crayon and Watercolor had lots of “Japanese names” called “Wairo” that comes from nature.

I remember “Oudo-iro” ( Yellow soil )  is my least favorite because it gets hard very easily.
“Gunjyou-iro” (Ultramarine ) was my favorite. I don’t know just I loved the name.
”Yamabuki-iro”(Bright yellow) is we saw the flower all the time on the way to go to nursery school.

“karashi-iro” ( Mustard yellow) is spot on so I can almost taste the colour!
“Enji-iro” ( Burgundy ) I didn’t know the meaning but I know the colour…

“Azuki-iro” ( Red bean colour ) is nice to picture the image colour but difficult to make it.

We loved driving our Suzuki Wagon R in “Nasukon” ( Aubergine Navy blue ) .

Aubergine Navy Blue

Perhaps, you can make up lots of different name from traditional food or dish ” Sekihan-iro” ( rice cooked with red bean-pale pink ),

“Tamagoyaki-iro”( omelet yellow ), “Tofu-iro”( Ivory like white ) , ” Beef Curry-iro “( dark yellow-brown),
“Crispy croquette”, “Konnyaku-iro” ( Pewter grey like grey) , ” Oinarisan-iro” ( Pale Brown ) ….I can’t stop now! 🙂

Additional…

I copied from the FB post. 🙂

No photo description available.

Would you put makeup with those name of colour??? 🙂
