Hat hiring

It has been fantastic meeting with new people at the event, Edinburgh, Hopetoun, and Glasgow!!

I got lots of very nice feedback from wonderful people who I met.

Since, people have occasions to wear the hat at Race meeting, Wedding, Garden Party, Religion ceremony, Graduation party, etc.

This is the classic Ascot Race Meeting image of Audrey Hepburn!! I love the image of her and this black and white hat!!

I hire my unique hats and headpieces, fascinators.

Price starts reasonable as £12 / day + P/P.  For posting minimum hire from 3 days.

Punk venue..

Recently, I am concentrate for Wedding direction for designing.

I used to go gigs before getting my son.

1996, I was busy going around gigs for punk reunited events in London…

And this year…2016 is 40 years anniversary for Punk…

So, when I was asked to show my pieces at night club in Glasgow, I couldn’t help it.

This Thursday, I am going to show my pieces @ Cathouse in Glasgow with Eris Event Fashion show.

What do you wear when you have special occasion?

What do you care most?

Your shape, colour, fabric, and trend and budget??

These are most of us have to consider..

End of the day, what you are feeling conformable and confident is the best dress for you.

I design and make dress irregular paces along the hat making….( it is almost like my hobby.)

This time I have made mini chiffon dress which inspired from Kimono.

Why Kimono?Because, this is just the box dress.

Box dress can be easy to put on and add things. I added satin bow to tie on left shoulder, with matching corsage.

 

 

On the left shoulder tie the satin bow to fix, and on the bow

you can wear the handmade corsage which can be on and off with pin!

You can wear the belt and wrap over and gorgeous accessories of your choice.

 

 

 

 

Black and White mini dress 7 wrap

This is the cape – pull over your dress with belt on. Easy way to cover up. Always you can use your elegant scarf, too!

 

 

Of course,I can associate with the hat to match with!!

I think chiffon is the very good material to care. not get creased and elegant move from air.

Put the top big makes whole silhouette slim!

#GNI Edinburgh

Tocofashion was showing and exhibiting #GNI Edinburgh last night.

Put the stuff in to the car, 4 hat boxes, 1 mannequin, banner, 2 hat stands, 2 dresses and step…

Black dress and hat on the left was in the show.

Sage dress in the middle also designed and made by me matching with the hat.

Fascinator isn’t familiar name!!

Fascinator…

When I was studying millinery in London, we were learning

millinery skills from our teacher who used to work for

traditional milliner.

We have never learnt the word ” Fascinator! ”

We learnt ladies hats – Cocktail, Toque, Turban, Trilby, Couture hat, Cloche, Headpiece, Headdress, Comb, Hair accessories,  etc.

Since, I started living in Scotland in 2012. Already the word fascinator was

taking the millinery world over…

Since people are using fascinator as hair accessories and extending to hats, I designed and made this

Poppy Corsage Makes You Look Great!

Let’s wear a poppy!

Lots of flowers are starting blooming. Birds are nesting, lambs are hopping in the field!!

The idea…

I had beautiful poppy red satin, a bit too early for the season,but I decided to make a poppy.

The making…

Making the pattern, I made 2 different type of petals…..I liked 3 sectioned petals better.

Cut out the fabric, stiffened them, dried, then shaping them with flower making irons.

Then stitching them to gather the petal match flower like….

Add centre parts..

Fashion Drawing

Every New Year, we have custom to do Japanese calligraphy in Japan.

This year, my son made this in school.

“Bright Future” Felix made this calligraphy in New Year 2016.

 

Brush and dark ink can do lots of things not only the calligraphy.

I was drawing with Ink and Blush.

Dark ink can make lots of interesting

You will need calligraphy paper which is very thin but

absorb ink very nicely.

I couldn’t stop playing.

Then, I was start drawing, Fashion Drawing!!

Perhaps, I will add some colour in the future!!

I love Blush and Ink!!

I liked this headpiece so, I re-made this headpiece in 2013.
